More than 45 days have passed since the terrible 7.0 magnitude quake, which caused massive destruction in Haiti; and Tzu Chi's relief efforts continue, with support from the international community.
In the United States, San Francisco's Tzu Chi Academy invites a dentist to teach preschoolers about proper oral hygiene.
And a large fire destroys 1,100 homes in the Filipino capital of Manila; Tzu Chi volunteers quickly arrived to distribute aid, and comfort the victims.

1.海地約旦發放 Aid distribution on Feb 25, local time
In Haiti, besides continuous free clinics provided by TIMA members, the Tzu Chi disaster relief team carried out four large distributions this week, benefitting just over 5,600 families. The distribution on the 25th was the first held at the Jordanian peacekeeping mission's base camp in Port-au-Prince. Fresh volunteers continue to arrive in Haiti to offer their support, including three Tzu Chi volunteers from Jordan, who escorted six truck-loads of supplies into Haiti last Sunday. Thanks to them Thursday's event was carried out smoothly. Quake survivors from nearby tent camps were the aid recipients this time. A total of 653 families happily took home with them tarpaulins, blankets and rice.

In the wee hours before the distribution, it has been a sleepless night for volunteers at Tzu Chi's coordination center in the OECC offices.
While the men move the boxes of aid supplies, the women provide illumination with flashlights. The cartons are being loaded into the truck for the aid distribution that will take place in a few hours.

On February 25th, at 4:30am, the trucks head off to the distribution site at the base camp of the Jordanian peacekeeping corps. Safeguarded by the peacekeepers, the aid distribution will proceed in a secure environment. Local volunteers join the aid relief team to set up the location for the day ahead.
Just before six in the morning, the break of day means volunteers can put their flashlights away.

Outside the walls, quake survivors were here even before the volunteers arrived. The aid recipients get into long lines and wait patiently.
As always, before the distribution, volunteers break the ice with smiles and songs because every encounter makes a once in a lifetime memory.

The list of aid recipients for this distribution- who are mostly quake survivors living in the tent camps- was provided by the God's Family Church of Haiti. Though they may have lost everything in the disaster, these deprived people still tried their best to dress up for the long-awaited occasion.
48-year-old Fifi is overcome with emotions and gratitude as she receives a tarpaulin, blanket and rice. It t goes to show the kind of adversity they have been experiencing in the wake of the quake.
Haitian volunteer, Jacques Renand Cherduville:"Whatever some day you find food, or the day you wouldn't find food, we have to live. I'm happy greatly because yesterday I happen all the day without food, but today I'm going to eat."

The commander of the Jordanian peacekeepers' base camp also says that this has been a very special mission.

Despite all the planning ahead to ensure a peaceful aid distribution, several residents still broke through the gate; the uproar of the mob outside also concerned the volunteers. The peacekeepers have to be on their highest alert. Waiting in the queues, every face represents a hungry family, desperate for some warmth and love that Tzu Chi is ready to offer.
在海地，除了慈濟人醫會的義診以外，賑災團也進行了四次的大型發放，加惠了5600個家庭，而2月25日是在太子港的約旦維和部隊營區，這些日子來，不斷的有新的志工來到海地加入賑災行列，例如來自約旦的三位志工，他們在上個星期協助帶了六大卡車的物資進入海地也因為他們，星期四的發放很順利的結束了，附近帳棚區的災民前來領取物資，共有653戶，開心的把塑膠布、毛毯和大米領回家。
在發放當天的凌晨時分，位於OECC的慈濟協調中心，志工徹夜未眠。
師兄們出力搬運箱子，師姊們也幫忙，人手一支手電筒指引光明，他們把貨搬送上卡車，為幾個小時後的發放做好前置作業。
2月25號凌晨四點半，賑災車輛陸續出發前往發放地點，也就是約旦維和部隊營區，有了維和部隊直接保護，發放的環境將會很安全，本地志工也加入賑災團行列，趕快讓發放物資到位。
現在時間是清晨五點55分，天色已經漸漸微亮，志工已經可以把手電筒關掉。
隔著圍牆的外頭，海地災民甚至比志工還要早過來，耐心的排著長長的隊。
維持著一貫的發放模式，慈濟志工用微笑還有歌曲破冰，因為緣份的相遇，是個永恆的記憶。
發放的災民名單是由上帝之家教會所提供，都是住在帳棚區的災民，雖然地震後一無所有，不過他們還是儘量把自己打扮的漂漂亮亮，來參加這場期待已久的盛宴。
48歲的Fifi收到塑膠布、毛毯和大米，情緒非常激動看的出來，地震過後生活真的很艱苦。
Haitian volunteer, Jacques Renand Cherduville：「常常是這天找到食物，哪天又找不到食物，因為要生存，我很快樂，非常快樂，因為昨天我們已沒有食物了今天終於可以吃東西了。」
約旦維和任務的營區指揮官也說，這次出任務和以往大不同。

不過就算規劃的再詳盡，還是有一些災民闖越了鐵門，還有的人在外頭鼓譟，讓志工開始擔心，約旦軍人也加強警戒，一長排的人龍，每一張臉都代表一個飢餓的家庭，等待著溫暖與愛，而慈濟已經張開迎接的雙臂。
2.十字架再發放 2nd distribution at Croix des Mission
The 11 members of Tzu Chi's seventh relief team to go to Haiti have reported to duty. Apart from keeping the current relief missions going, the volunteers have been assessing the situation in other disaster-hit areas. Meanwhile, on February 24, Tzu Chi organized its second distribution of aid at the Croix des Mission church. Starting work at 3 o'clock in the morning, the volunteers found people already waiting in line to receive aid. Once more, the 82nd Paratroopers of the United States Army kept the peace at the distribution site. Commander Ray Malave and other soldiers also helped hand out the supplies.

The sun is shining cheerfully on another beautiful morning in Haiti. A line of people who have been queuing up since three or four o'clock in the morning snakes around the Croix des Mission church.
The small cards they are holding with a Jing Si aphorisms written on them are aid relief coupons. Everyone waits patiently for the aid distribution to begin.

With each bow, a waterproof tarpaulin sheet and a warming blanket are handed over.
Tzu Chi volunteer, Zheng Weiyuan:"Saying good bye to these bodhisattvas makes us very happy. Although we bow at 90 degrees, it's a sign of respect to them."
In the aftermath of the disaster, no matter how bad things get you have to keep smiling.
USA TIMA doctor, Zheng Wenkai:"It suddenly started raining. These people had to take shelter in their dangerous homes. Families soaked to the skin were huddled together. It was terrible. Now when it rains like that, at least they'll have somewhere to take shelter that won't be so bad. So when I see their expressions, I feel very happy and satisfied. "
USA TIMA nurse, Beverly Ann Silveira:"This is my first food distribution, and the Haitian people have been very gracious and very appreciative, and it's just very heartwarming. "

At this distribution at the Croix des Mission church, the US 82nd Paratroopers are here to keep order. Commander Ray Malave says the distribution is a new experience for him.
US Army commander, Ray Malave:"The difference between this one and the ones I've been to before is the speed. In this one, you really took your time to do the program, and really showed the Haitian people that they're special, and that you are not here just to give out the HA goods, but also to make them feel special. It's the special feeling. I haven't done this before. It humbles you, and it's not something that you do every day. It's sort of a kind of special kind of feeling which serving other people."
US Army soldier, Amy Robinson:"This is the first time I've seen it. I saw it on video. So I thought it was very - you guys put a lot of thought into the distribution that you do, and you can, I think the audience picks up on that too, just the - they really feel the compassion that you bring."

After the distribution is over, the 32 US troops go back to the Tzu Chi relief coordination center where volunteers have prepared gifts of red envelopes and instant rice for the soldiers.
US Army soldier:"This organization is the best, the most organized and the professional organization I've seen so far, here in Haiti. I appeciate greatly what you guys are doing here."

With Tzu Chi and the US Army working together, the second aid distribution at Croix des Mission is successfully completed. The third relief effort for another 2,000 households was to be held here on February 26.
慈濟賑災團第七團11人抵達海地，除了讓援助工作持續進行外，也到其他地區進行勘災行動，另外，海地時間2月24日，慈濟賑災團在十字架教區本堂進行第二場發放，一大早三點鐘開始，就有災民前來排隊等候領取物資，美軍82空降師的軍隊仍到現場維護安全，美軍營區指揮官馬雷夫和其他士兵也前來協助發放工作。
海地陽光晨曦微微露臉，又是一個美好的早晨，人龍從清晨三四點就開始環繞十字架教區本堂的教堂建築。
手裡拿著的靜思小卡，是領取物資的證明，每個人耐心等候著發放的開始。
每一次彎腰，獻上用來遮風避雨的塑膠布和保暖禦寒的毛毯。
Tzu Chi volunteer, Zheng Weiyuan：「恭送這些菩薩，讓我們今天產生很多歡喜心，鞠躬90度，對他們是一種尊重。」
大災難過後，環境再艱困，仍然要微笑向前走。
USA TIMA doctor, Zheng Wenkai：「突然下很大很大的雨，他們有些人只好回到危樓危房裡，一家人抱在一起，渾身溼透了，好慘，再有這樣的雨的時候，他們至少有個地方可以避風雨，就不會那樣悲慘，所以看到他們的表情，我心裡也感到非常高興、很滿足。」

慈濟志工和美軍充分合作，十字架教區本堂的第二場發放順利完成，第三場發放將於當地時間2月26日再發放2000戶。
3.US360 LA人文捐海地 Students send their love to Haiti
In November 2009, Irvine Tzu Chi Academy started a grant program for Haitian students. Kids at the Tzu Chi Academy were encouraged to donate stationary or petty cash to kids in Haiti. Children from the two countries were bound together ever since. After the recent 7.0 earthquake in Haiti, kids in Irvine and the Tzu Chi Academy joined in with the rest of the world to provide relief. Kindergardeners through 9th graders donate money, buy lunch boxes at the charity bazaar, and send their love in cards to Haiti, involving all the kids for this good cause.

Rita, Rona and Jonathan from the seventh and ninth grades are cousins. They have an even stronger feeling about the disaster than their peers do because their grand uncle lives in Haiti.
Tzu Chi Academy student, Rita Chang:"He was in Haiti when the earthquake happened. It took them six hours to get him out. "
After class, Rita and her cousins get together, draw cards for their family in Haiti, and call up their grand uncle.
Tzu Chi Academy student, Rita Chang:"He was actually very lucky because he didn't get injured that much, you know, like other people who have broken legs or concussions."

The cousins extend their love for their family to all the earthquake survivors.
Tzu Chi Academy student, Rita Chang:"To my grand uncle, I hope he gets well and get out of the hospital soon. And to those people in Haiti that they didn't think negative and hope they get better. Oh, and I hope the kids in Haiti can go back to school when it gets rebuild soon so they can have their education really soon. "
< Love and compassion in action >
In every corner of Tzu Chi academy, kids of all age groups try to do their part to help. Some drag their parents to buy lunch boxes on sale at the charity bazaar.
Some send their warm regards in a card and express their love via a phone call.
That "go!" is from the bottom of the children's hearts, and for all the Haitians who are struggling to recover from the disaster.
2009年11月，爾灣慈濟人文學校開始對海地學生進行一項助學計畫，鼓勵人文學校的孩子們捐出文具或零用錢給海地的孩子，自此，兩地的孩子們培養出了特別的感情，在最近的海地七級大地震之後，爾灣慈濟人文學校的孩子也加入了全世界援助海地的行動，從幼稚園到九年級的學生們，透過捐款購買慈善義賣的便當、畫愛心卡片，為海地貢獻自己的一份力量。

就讀於九年級和七年級的加穎、加昀和加升是堂姊弟，比起其他同學，他們對於這次災難的感受更為強烈，因為他們的舅公住在海地。

4.美牙齒保健 Introducing dental care early
Getting a child to brush their teeth can be troublesome, but for the sake of saving an extra trip to the dentist, it is important to get them into the habit of brushing and flossing early. Thus, the Tzu Chi Academy in San Francisco invited a dentist to teach a special lesson to the preschoolers, on how to keep their teeth bright and clean.

Besides mastering tooth brushing, the little girl is also developing a lifelong habit.

5.菲125義診 125th Tzu Chi free clinic
Since arriving in Marikina City in the Philippines to help with post-Typhoon Ketsana relief, Tzu Chi volunteers have continue to provide care to the residents. Earlier this week, Tzu Chi Philippines held its 125th free clinic. At the event, which took place at Marikina's High School, nearly 1,900 patients were treated.

At Tzu Chi's 125th free clinic in the Philippines, 8-year-old Daniel is being treated for a lump on the sole of his right foot, which causes severe pain.

At the free clinic, doctors perform minor operations and treat illnesses. Before Typhoon Ketsana, residents of Marikina City would not have believed doctors would actually come to provide quality medical care free of charge.

The free clinic is held at Marikina High School. The volunteers also ask residents to participate in recycling. The relay of love continues with more joining in.
自從慈濟志工因凱莎娜風災賑災而來到菲律賓的馬利僅那市後，對於災區的關懷就從不間斷，這個禮拜初，菲律賓慈濟舉辦第125次義診，地點就在馬利僅那市的高中，為1893位病患解除病苦。
在菲律賓慈濟第125次的義診，才八歲的丹尼爾正在接受治療，他的右腳底上長了一個腫塊，一碰到就會劇烈疼痛。

慈濟人細心察覺很多居民沒吃早餐，快速送出小點心。
義診在馬利僅那市的高中，慈濟志工也邀請居民一起做環保，因為更多人的加入讓愛能循環下去。
6.菲巴格火災 Fire - a constant hazard
Fire is merciless and destructive. In a moment we will take you to Kedah, Malaysia where Tzu Chi volunteers comforted a family who lost two children to a blaze. But first, we stay in the Philippines to report on yet another inferno in Manila. Since 1967, March has been designated as Fire Prevention Month in the country, because it marks the beginning of the hot and dry season, when most blazes occur. Yet fire remains a common occurrence, claiming lives and property, mostly due to faulty electrical connections. Statistics in 2006 showed that nearly 9,000 fires broke out in that year alone, claiming almost 300 lives, and nearly 70 million USD in lost property. This is why Tzu Chi-Philippines is always carrying out post-fire relief distributions. This time, the volunteers went to Barangay Paco in the capital of Manila.

In the Philippines, a fire rages out of control in Barangay Paco of Manila. Residents can only watch helplessly as flames engulf their property. When it was over, some try to salvage anything of value, and some rest in a temporary shelter.

Comforting the fire victims, the volunteers tell them that they still have the ability to help others.
Fire victim, Luzviminda Pavia:"We can recover from the fire, but I don't think we could survive Haiti's earthquake. I want to tell Haitians 'Be strong and don't worry, because Tzu Chi will be there to help.' "

A local reporter who learned about Tzu Chi through a press conference decided to "just do it" too.
Volunteer, Sonny Casulla:"I am deeply touched by the Tzu Chi song, the Prayer. I can't go through a day without listening to it. I am inspired by the message of the song that conveys the real meaning of humility and love; and Tzu Chi puts that into practice."

A disaster put these people in contact with Tzu Chi. With kindness and compassion, the relay of love continues.

在菲律賓馬尼拉市的巴格區，一場大火蔓延，居民們無能為力，只能看著大火吞沒自己的家園，當大火熄滅後，有些人在廢虛中試著找回有價值的東西，有的在臨時帳棚裡休息。
在這裡火災的機率很高，所以火災的災民對慈濟人一點也不陌生。
再度的相逢，帶來安慰與淚水。

安慰著火災的災民們，志工們告訴他們，他們還有能力幫助其他人。

這些善良的災民，即使遇到災難，還是會想到他人，凱莎娜風災的居民也來這裡做志工。

Another fire disaster, this time in Malaysia. In the middle of the Lunar New Year holiday celebration, a blaze broke out in Kedah, torching five homes. A 72-year-old man was injured, and a 10-year-old girl and her 7-year-old brother sadly died. Upon receiving the news, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived immediately at the scene, to console the grieving parents and offer support.

A Tzu Chi volunteer is consoling a mortified mother. It is a kind gesture, but the mother knows it will never bring back her son and daughter.

A fire abruptly disrupted the tranquil night. Five families lost their homes, but for Deng Shuncheng and his wife, the flames took away their beloved children.
Tzu Chi volunteer, Liu Bingkun:"When we received the call from a fellow sister, she said her relative's home had burned down. We headed over to the scene and brought food and supplies for the fire crew and survivors. "

Acting as watchful guardians, the volunteers comforted victims around the clock.
Fire victim, Parthipan:"Nobody wanted a disaster like this to happen. But it did. I really appreciate Tzu Chi volunteers for distributing the provisions as well as their support and encouragement."

Besides extending spiritual and emotional support, aid packages are also distributed to fire survivors because Tzu Chi's great love encompasses all.

慈濟人一聽到消息，立刻前往關懷，慰問傷心欲絕的雙親，也盡可能給予協助。
慈濟志工慰問著這位母親，雖然傷心，她卻了解她再也無法換回心愛的兒女。
夜半的一場無情火，劃破深夜的寧靜，五間房屋被燒毀，但是對鄧順成夫婦來說，一場火卻奪走他們心愛的孩兒。
Tzu Chi volunteer, Liu Bingkun：「接到一位師姊的電話，她講她的親戚家被火燒，我們就去災區去買一些食物給救火員和家屬。」
如同守護著一樣，志工從凌晨到天亮，陪伴安慰家屬。
Fire victim, Parthipan：「大家都不想樣的災難會發生，但畢竟它已經發生了，我很感激慈濟志工給予我們的物資發放、關懷與鼓勵。」
送走小姊弟的最後一程，慈濟人助念，也是祝福。

除了給予心靈上的援助之外，也發送物資給火災受災民眾，因為慈濟的愛，無所不在。
8.越南發放 Everyone deserves a happy new year
Vietnam's largest city is Ho Chi Ming City, formerly known as Saigon. The metropolis boasts a high-octane lifestyle, with commerce and historically rich culture. Yet behind the prosperity, poverty remains. For over ten years, Tzu Chi volunteers have been safeguarding the poor and the needy. Knowing that the families of most migrant workers cannot afford the perks of the Lunar New Year, volunteers brightened their spirits by distributing food and daily necessities to them; and also providing comfort cash awards.

< Holiday time means family time >
District 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam has over 150 backyard brick kilns, which attracted a migrant population of 500 families of nearly 3,000 people. However, only half of the residents can afford for the trip home for the holiday.
< Celebrating the TC way >
Thus, Tzu Chi volunteers hold a New Year fiesta for the migrant workers. The guests go home with instant noodles, cooking oil, soy sauce, and daily products. Each family is given a cash gift of roughly 5USD.
Tzu Chi's great love is also enlivening other parts of the city, such as Tan Binh. Besides receiving New Year gifts of supplies, volunteers amp-up the atmosphere with lively songs and offer relaxing massages - benefitting a total of 750 families.
< Perpetuating the great love to all >
Volunteers will continue to spread love and affection because an unbreakable bond has been formed between these people on the fringes of society and Tzu Chi.
越南第一大都市，之前稱為西貢的胡志明市，是個繁忙、充滿商機及豐富的文化歷史的地方，不過，在繁榮的背後，依然貧富差距懸殊，將近十年來，慈濟志工長期關懷及陪伴貧困的居民，知道大多數外來工人的家庭都沒有多餘的錢過農曆年，慈濟志工準備食物及生活用品，並且還提供關懷金，讓他們好過年。
慈濟志工們用微笑及鞠躬，迎接到來的照顧戶。
越南胡志明市邊緣的第九郡，有超過一百五十家製磚場，吸引五百戶、將近三千位外地人遷居，不過，其中只有一半人家有能力買車票回鄉過年。
於是 ，慈濟人為這些外來的工人們舉辦新春聯誼，居民們的物資包括泡麵、沙拉油、醬油及生活用品 ，每戶人家收到大約五塊錢美元的慰問金。
同樣的喜悅，在胡志明市的新平郡也看得到，除了收到過年物資以外，慈濟志工們活潑的歌唱帶動氣氛，還替老人家按摩，總共幫助了750戶家庭。
志工們將持續散播愛與關懷，因為這些在社會邊緣求生的人，與慈濟結了一份深深的緣。
